Bogle California 2009
|
Developed and intense fruit from this harvest has produced one of our most full-bodied merlots yet! Deep cherry fruit hits both the nose and palate upon the first sip, followed by soft hints of summer anise. Touches of pipe tobacco and spicy oak lend weight to the finish, trailed by firm, assertive tannins. Enjoy this wine with a wide range of food: from pasta to hearty meat dishes, or of course, all by itself!

Juicy and supple, with tangy cherry and tomato leaf notes. Finishes with spicy tannins.

The alcohol is nice and low on this soft, likeable Merlot, grown in Clarksburg and Lodi. The cherry, blackberry, chocolate and mint flavors are pleasant, and the price for everyday drinking is just fine.
