Wisps of evergreen add to a slight leanness in the cherryish fruit of this wine, and even though it carries suggestions of richness in its somewhat fleshy entry texture, it never acquires the depth or juicy center of complete Merlot. Its finish runs to an edge of greenness and is somewhat pinched.
