Brewer Clifton Santa Rita Hills Cargasacchi 2004
|
Tasted by dajapino on 10/11/2006 & rated 94 points: Delicious. Bigger and more complex version of, say, Arlaud "clos de la roche". No heat despitre 15.1% alc. Nose of clove/cinnamon, indian spices, raspberry, cherry, some dark chocolate and tinge of mineral/chalk and barnyard/mushroom. Medium bodied with flavors of cherries, raspberries, and various spices and tinge of earth. Bravo. While I like the BC Melville better, this one's wonderful too.

Very refined and supple, with fabulous texture, all silk and satin on the palate. Perfectly showcases Pinot’s sensual, seductive side, with cherry and cola flavors and a smooth elaboration of oak. Finishes complex, spicy and long, a brilliant wine that combines power with elegance.
