Argyle Willamette Valley Reserve 2008
|
This Pinot Noir has a seductively rich, super dark ruby-violet color. Aromas leap out of the glass with black cherry, black cherry leather and cedar, along with a ripping portion of cinnamon spice. The wine finishes with a hint of violet flower patch. Use of new oak was delicate, so the aromas are authentic Pinot Noir.

The 2005 Pinot Noir Reserve is sourced from the winery’s Knudsen Vineyard. The nose features lavender, cinnamon, rose petal, cassis, and raspberry. The wine has vibrant acidity and the structure typical of the 2005 vintage but with more than enough fruit to provide balance.

This fragrant red offers raspberry, rose petal and white pepper aromas, following through on the open-textured palate and lingering well against lightly sandy tannins. Drink now through 2018. 7,000 cases made. –HS
