Sauzet 2006 Puligny Montrachet Folatiere
Chardonnay: BH 92 pts "(from a parcel in the sub-climat En la Richarde plus another in Folatières proper toward Champ Gain at the very top of the vineyard; vine age is 30+ years and it was aged in 1/3 new oak). An impressively high-toned nose that is pure, elegant and beautifully refined as it features spiced pear and green apple aromas plus wisps of acacia blossom that merge seamlessly into the crisp and equally pure medium-bodied flavors that are quite finely detailed and finish with a chiseled and firmly stony finale. This is not as explosive as the best 1ers here but doesn’t lack for energy and punch plus it should age well over the mid-term. 92/2013+"

Le Macchiole 2004 Paleo
Cabernet Franc: Wine Spectator 94 pts "Intense aromas of blackberry, rose and rosemary follow through to a full-bodied palate, with ultrafine tannins and a long, long finish. Supersilky and caressing. A gorgeous wine. Cabernet Franc. Best after 2009. 1,960 cases made."
$96.00

Clair 2005 Gevrey Petite Chapelle
Pinot Noir: Wine Advocate 90-92 pts "From a small (5 barrel-) parcel he has had now for a decade, Clair''s 2005 Gevrey-Chambertin La Petit Chapelle smells quite fetchingly of black cherry, licorice and cinnamon. Intense, fresh and juicy but with an almost liqueur-like sweet side to the fruit, and as close to early generosity as any of the wines here come, this finishes strongly with tremendous sap, energy and freshness of fruit, along with decidedly chalky and salty mineral tone and an eventual faint hint of caramel from the oak. (One of five barrels is new.)"

Fevre 2006 Chablis Les Clos
Chardonnay: BH 92-95 pts "An airy, expressive and ultra refined and pure nose of white flower, quinine, saline, minerals and seashore nuances trimmed in discrete wood gives way to rich and robust, indeed huge flavors that are perhaps a bit less refined than those of the Valmur or Preuses but there is another dimension here of depth that more than compensates. A great wine with a long future that should develop slowly yet because of all the mid-palate fat, be enjoyable young. Don''t Miss!"
$98.00

Usseglio 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape
Grenache, Mouvedre, Syrah: "full-bodied, peppery wine that oozes the character of Provence with its notes of lavender, herbes de Provence, and sweet black cherries and raspberries. Some licorice, saddle leather, and salty sea breeze notes also make it into the character of this full-bodied, concentrated wine which is silky enough to be drunk now or cellared for 10-12 years." RP

Girardin, V. 2005 Corton Charlemagne
Chardonnay: the blend has now changed from exclusively Pernand vines to a mix of all 3 communes.
$98.00

Felsina 2004 Chianti Riserva Rancia
Sangiovese: ST, International Wine Cellar 95 pts "Impressive dark ruby color. Expressive aromas of blackcurrant, plum, mint and cigar box, all lifted by a mineral element. Dense and rich, combining pinot noir-like texture and refinement with syrah-like flavors of rare meat and raspberry liqueur. This boasts a wonderfully tactile feel and a remarkably long, palate-staining finish. A great Chianti with loads of personality."
$98.00

Chateau Grillet 2001 Chateau Grillet
Viognier: Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar 92 "Green-tinged straw. Intense mineral, floral and botanical herb notes accent orange and pear on the nose; reminds me of yellow Chartreuse. Firm and sharply focused, with spicy pear, citrus, licorice and succulent herb flavors. Finishes with an oily sensation of concentration and impressive length. This improves with aeration and, as Mme. Baratin notes, "should be served at the same temperature as a red wine."
$98.00
139
Mascarello, B. 2001 Barolo
Nebbiolo: Highly nuanced nose combines plum, marzipan, leather, flowers, spun sugar and nutty oak. Concentrated, juicy and bright, with lovely sweetness buffered by firm but well-integrated acidity.
$99.00

Usseglio 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape
Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault: WS 92 pts "Taut and reserved for now, with red plum and red currant notes held back by sinewy tannins and a racy minerality. Has solid length, and the flesh should fill out with cellaring. Best from 2008 through 2022."
$99.00

Bouchard L''Enfant Jesus Beaune Grev
Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir: Allen Meadows, Burghound 93 "A distinctly more elegant and higher-toned nose introduces rich, full, pliant and refined flavors that possess outstanding depth on the ripe, balanced, pure and sublimely harmonious finish. A terrific Beaune and highly recommended. Sweet spot Outstanding!"

Colin-Morey 2006 Chassagne Les Cailleret
Chardonnay: Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar 93-95 points "Reduced on the nose following the recent end of the malolactic fermentation. Rich, broad, ripe and airy, with tactile, vibrant flavors of citrus fruits, powdered stone and white flowers. A powerful, classic young white Burgundy with terrific energy and force. The long, rising finish offers a saline nuance and ineffable complexity. Two-thirds of these vines are 60 years old, the rest about 25."

Dubreuil-Fontaine 2005 Corton Bressandes
Pinot Noir: This small Grand Cru holding spreads just .70 hectares.

Colin, B. 2005 Puligny La Truffiere
Chardonnay: La Truffiere benefits from its higher elevation in that its wines are typically less fat than those further down-slope. Always very good acidity, ripening, and an attractive mineral quality.
