The 40% Albariño adds a very classic character to the 60% Chardonnay. The intense aromas are reminiscent of yellow peaches, Asian pear and lichee nut, with just a hint of oak that follows through on the palate. The fi nish is long and creamy. Is this the first Chardonnay-Albariño blend in California? Maybe, and based on the wine, there should be more. Shows Chardonnay’s cool-climate tangerine and green apple fruit, while the Albariño adds zesty acidity and a white flower, lemon tang. A brilliant wine to drink now. S.H. (5/1/2011) — 92
