Chateau Tertre Daugay Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2000
This appealing, full-bodied, silky, complex wine is still a little too young to fully reveal itself properly. Although the tannins are integrating nicely, it is still closed and tight. Give this one time to age, or at the very least give it plenty of time to breath. Although still in adolescence, the wine is beginning to show some charming aromas and flavors of fresh blackberries, black cherries, ripe raspberries, and currants, overlaid with vanilla, oak, cloves, and even hints of tobacco. The wine will be at its best towards the end of this year (2005), but should continue to improve with age for another five or six years after that.

Very, very complex, with berry, raspberry, cloves and turmeric. Full-bodied, yet very reserved and silky. Refined and long. Superimpressive and a truimph for this estate. Best after 2008. 5,415 cases made.
