Chateau Dauzac Margaux 2005
|
Saturated ruby-red color. Spicy aromas of black fruits and minerals. Densely packed, very ripe and rather powerful in the mouth, if a bit youthfully inscrutable today. My enthusiasm for this impressively sweet wine was muted by its rather brutal, dry finish. Seems built to showcase ripeness and extraction more than Margaux typicity. One to follow.

Wonderful aromas of currants, raspberries and Indian spices. Full-bodied, with ultrafine tannins and a long, long finish. Very, very pretty. Best ever from here. Score range: 92-94
