This wine boasts perfumed aromas of black currants and blackberry jam with hints of lavender, mocha and star anise. The rich and expansive texture, bolstered by the ripe, velvety tannins, creates a lush mouthfeel and indicates cellar worthiness.

9% Malbec; 7% Merlot; 3% Petit Verdot; 3% Cabernet Franc. Unabashed ripeness plays a very large role here, yet, along with its evident heat and chocolaty bias, this very rich wine offers up a good measure of curranty fruit and is seasoned with lots of very nice oak. Full and well-muscled with integral tannin lending a bit of much-needed spine, it is a mid-term keeper and should make satisfying drinking with a hearty pot roast after three or four years have passed.
