Brewer Clifton Santa Rita Hills Ashley's Vineyard 2005
|
Fragrant and complex, with floral aromas of lemon, pebble, citrus and green apple that are delivered on a beam. Tightly wound and sharply focused, this is long and persistent on the finish, with excellent acidity. Drink now through 2010. 713 cases made.

From some of the oldest Chard vines in the area comes this dramatically rich wine. Bursting with lemon drop, Meyer lemon mousse, peach pulp and toasty new oak, this is a very ripe wine whose high alcohol, 16.4%, shows only as a dusting of white pepper and spicy clove that makes the finish piquant.
