Andrew Murray
Central Coast Tous Les Jours Syrah
ST90
The Syrah for this wine came from Paso Robles and their Estate vineyard. This is the 8th vintage of this wine. This wine was aged for 11 months in a mix of new and 1-3 year old French oak barriques. This inky-hued, full-bodied wine has lots of fruit and spice and is highly drinkable right now, however, it will reward the patient with another couple years of aging.

2006 $20.99

Santa Ynez Valley Estate Grown Syrah
WS87
Lightly gamy, faintly brushy and just a bit sharp in this nose, this coarse and very dry wine suffers from a real shortfall in fruit and winds up dull and bitter with an oddly tangy edge to its finish.

2009 $21.99

The Ojai Vineyard
Santa Barbara County   Syrah
BH90
Although it may be a bit simple and still framed with the coarse edges of youth, this deep, dense, impressively filled Syrah has all of the right makings for success down the line. It conveys a fine sense of extract without being too heavy or ripe, and its scattered glimmers of pepper and spice suggest that there will be more to come in time. It is, in short, a serious and ageworthy Syrah, and it needs at least a few years of age but could easily grow for five to ten more.

2008 $28.99
