Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss
Wiebelsberg
Brut
ST
87
Bright yellow. Hints of nuts and resin on top of minerals, citrus peel, nuts and menthol on the nose. Juicy and racy but a bit youthfully disjointed, combining some rather developed notes with slightly tart, spiky acidity. This could use a bit more stuffing and clarity of flavor. Firm minerally finish suggests some tannins. Kreydenweiss finds this very closed now and believes it needs a good eight years of bottle aging.

Bailly-Lapierre
Rose Cremant Bourgogne
Brut
Pinot Noir
This bright clean sparkling wine is naturally fermented in this bottle, in the Champagne Method. It comes from rocky soils near St. Bris, in the Cote d''Auxerre near Chablis. Itis made of 60% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay, 10% Aligoté, and 10% Gamay. The aligoté gives it a citric quality and refreshing acidity. This is terrific alterantive to Champagne, if you are on a budget but want that crips, bright, focused quality of Champagne
