Rhone Collection

Few wine producing regions in the world today offer as much value as the Rhone Valley and we are very proud to offer such an extensive list of these gems to you. The greatest expressions of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Roussanne, and Marsanne found in the world are here. Some of these vineyards were planted over two thousand years ago, so the tradition and quality of these wines are well established and deserved. One can easily appreciate the charm of these wines from the humblest appellations to the most prestigious single vineyard wines of Cote Rotie and Hermitage.
Our selections cover the wide range so you may find everything from a great everyday wine to something truly memorable. While most wine merchants will tout the latest vintage as the greatest we would suggest that you look carefully at some of the older offerings. These wines from 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2003 vintages are well priced. Please enjoy the finest from the south of sunny France.

Cote Rotie

Syrah
|
|
Deep ruby with notes of herbs, sweet kirsch, a hint of raspberry, and floral notes, this medium-bodied wine is very much in the Jasmin style, with supple tannins, an elegant, feminine, restrained personality, but excellent purity. It lacks somewhat in concentration, but that has never been one of the strong suits of the Jasmin wines. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.
